A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Clark County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message long enough to respond and manage the exchange. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Clark County Criminal History does not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes directions to records maintained by Clark County offices, city police departments, Washington courts, Washington State Patrol, the Department of Corrections, and the Washington State Sex Offender Public Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles. Public agencies separately govern their own records under the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, and the Criminal Records Privacy Act, chapter 10.97 RCW.

Outside companies operate search boxes presented on this website. Information entered there is handled under the provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. We do not control those policies. Review the applicable provider terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Clark County offices, Washington courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before supplying personal information.

Chapter 42.56 RCW governs access to nonexempt Washington agency records, while chapter 10.97 RCW controls criminal-history dissemination and correction by criminal-justice agencies. Those public-record statutes do not transform this private website into an agency. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
